Personnel

The Music Ministry staff of Divine Redeemer maintain first right of refusal for all weddings at the parish.

If you would like someone other than Music Ministry staff to cantor, payment should be arranged with them separately. If someone who is not a current member of the Saint James Choir or Saint Mary Schola is cantoring, they must be approved by Music Ministry.

Outside instrumentalists (e.g. violinists, trumpetists, flutists, etc.) are permitted with prior approval from Music Ministry. Payment should be arranged with them separately.

If you would like someone other than Music Ministry staff to accompany at the organ and/or piano, they must be approved by Music Ministry. A $300 bench fee will be assessed.

Use of the Space

Photographers and videographers should be advised that entry into the choir area / music space at Saint James during the liturgy is not permitted. Use of the choir loft at Saint Mary for photography and videography is permitted so long as the musicians are not obstructed. Please contact the Office of Music and Liturgy with any questions.

Payment and Fees

The standard fee for music is $300. If this is divided between a pianist/organist and a cantor, the pianist/organist fee is $200 and the cantor fee is $100.

If extra rehearsal is required, e.g. ​with outside musicians, an additional fee of $60/hour will be assessed.

All payment is due no later than one week prior to the date of the wedding. Payment ​may be made by cash or check and delivered to the parish office.

Checks should be made payable to the individual musician(s) for your wedding.
