XLT standing for "Exalt", is a night of prayer for the whole community, including praise and worship, a message, and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, often with a procession around the Church to bring Him amongst His people. While put on by the Youth Ministry Program, all are invited to the Church to adore and encounter Our Lord!

Why XLT?
While receiving Jesus in the Eucharist at Mass is the most powerful encounter we can have with our Lord, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is a powerful opportunity to grow in relationship with Him. This is why we have Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament- to prolong our time spent with Jesus in the Eucharist, and enabling us to see Him, because we desire more time with Him. XLT is a devotion focused simply on the growing of our relationship with Jesus, allowing us to be present to Him who loves us, and allowing Him to work in us as He wills.
XLT combines praise and worship, a message proclaiming God's Word, and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, where Jesus, present in the Eucharist, is placed on the altar for us to Adore. Praise and worship is a powerful form of prayer since music has a way of reaching into the depths of our hearts and giving expression to those longings we cannot otherwise express, or do not dare to speak. When we praise God, the walls we place around our hearts come crashing down, and when we sing to Him, every part of our being reaches out to God, who reaches back to embrace us. We begin XLT with Praise and Worship to fix our gaze on God and surrender ourselves to Him, We then spend time listening to a message, giving us something to reflect on and allowing God to speak to each of us in on the focus of the message. Finally we adore our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, interspersing praise and Silence. To grow in any relationship, you must learn to give and to receive, to speak and to listen. This is why both praise and silence are important, we sing to God our love for Him, and in the silence He speaks His love to us.
